Rain Bird releases summer training schedule
TUCSON, Ariz. – Rain Bird Training Services has released its schedule of irrigation training events for Summer 2016. These events offer irrigation professionals the chance to improve their knowledge bases, receive Irrigation Association (IA) continuing education credits (CEUs) and even prepare for IA certification exams.
“While summer is a busy time for irrigation professionals, the courses we offer can quickly prepare them for on-the-job challenges and position them for greater success,” said Paul Lierheimer, director of Rain Bird's contractor division. “By attending Rain Bird Services training events, individuals of all skill levels can take their careers to the next level while helping their customers use less water in the pursuit of beautiful, healthy landscapes.”
Rain Bird Academy Boot Camp
Rain Bird Academy's popular boot camps consist of four courses that provide general irrigation skills training on products from various manufacturers. Each boot camp course is designated as “IA Select,” a status reserved for training that adheres to the IA's best management practice standards in irrigation system design, installation and maintenance. These non-manufacturer-specific courses provide attendees with the CEUs that they may need to maintain their statuses as “Select Certified” members of the IA or review for the IA Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) exam. Boot camps will take place in Sunrise, Florida, on June 20-24; Sacramento, California, on July 18-22; and Walnut, California, on August 15-19.
IA review courses
Rain Bird Services will also host IA review courses designed to help individuals review for three of the IA's certification exams. Rain Bird Training Services IA review classes are designed to cover those components which have traditionally given candidates the most trouble on the exams. (No single class will completely prepare a candidate for any Irrigation Association certification exam; only individual study will cover 100 percent of the information needed.)
